About Us

Erickson & Area Food Bank Inc. (EAFB) is a non-profit, charitable organization, working to reduce hunger, increase food security, and build resiliency in our region. Our motto is: "FOOD FOR ALL/ 'Gakina Awiyaa Omiciwin'

We are situated on the ancestral lands of the Anishnaabe, Oji-Cree, Dakota, Lakota, Dene and Metis peoples. We serve Rolling River First Nation (Treaty 4), Keeseekoowenin First Nation (Treaty 2), and the RM's of Erickson-Clanwilliam and Harrison Park

We are dedicated to recognizing the harms of the past, and to moving forward in healing and reconciliation. By working together, we will make a better future for all.

Our Vision

"Fostering health, social justice, and long-term food security"

Food Security Projects

Food insecurity is a pressing issue in Canada, affecting millions of people, including 1 in 5 children.

It's alarming that many food insecure households are working households.

At the Erickson & Area Food Bank, we strive to provide nutritious food and support health and wellness programs.

Our mission is to help those in need and create a healthier, more secure community.

Volunteers Packing Food

Food Bank

Join us every Wednesday from 12-3 PM for our free food distribution program at EAFB. If you're interested in registering for a hamper or donating food, please contact us.

*Please note that due to budget constraints, we are currently operating on a first-come-first-served basis for registered clients only. We hope to be available to everyone who needs food in the future. Thank you for your understanding.

Harm Reduction

Our organization is dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for our community. We offer a range services, including safer sex and drug supplies, workshops, and information to help those seeking support. "Let's face it... it's hard these days. The cost of food keeps going up and there are days when I just don't know how I'm going to feed my family. Thanks to the Erickson & Area Food Bank I know we're not going to go hungry."

"I love Soup/Naboop Days at the Food Security HUB! Its great to share good food with good people."

"The Food Bank and Food Security HUB have been life savers. I honestly didn't know where to turn and was shy to come in at first. Everyone made me feel welcome. It's also confidential, and that is so important to me."

"I like that there are people of all ages and backgrounds working together here and at the HUB. As an Indigenous person, this feels like a safe space."
